My name is Joe Franco I’m a poker player. I started playing poker as a hobby like many others after Chris Moneymaker won the main event back in 2003. Back then I was working at a golf course. Which I’m sure many of you know is basically a breeding ground for gambling. So before long we were having weekly poker games at the golf course, and of course the occasional cash game would happen when the boss was away.

Around 2007 I decided I wanted to take the game more seriously so I signed up for a training site that is no longer around named SNGIcons. One of the instructors there Z32Fanatic took me under his wing teaching me the game on a deeper level. Primarily I was playing 45man and 180man SNGs, but around 2009 I started to play Heads up. Exclusively bum hunting on Absolute Poker and Full Tilt Poker. Everything was going well in my poker life, until April 15, 2011. For those of you that don’t know that is the day online poker players have termed Black Friday. It is the day the US DOJ stepped in and put an end to online poker in the United states. continue reading
